From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on your professional holiday – Miner’s Day, which became national long time ago!

You chose a noble mission as your life’s work – to provide the country with heat and light. Over the years you have descended under the ground and hoisted wind coal not always receiving the deserved reward for hard and dangerous work.

Low bow to you, dear miners – continuers of miner's traditions, whose heroic labor enhance the glory of our state.

But even on the holiday we cannot hold back that the situation in the industry remains difficult. An array of problems, which have been accumulating over the years and got especially acute recently, should be solved.

I believe that we will revive prestige of the miner's profession and will be able to guarantee coal miners merited social protection and occupational safety by uniting our efforts. We have everything to settle these challenges.
