Anatoliy Kinakh: Social aftereffects require more rapid and effective actions
It is absolutely obvious at this stage that the financial and economic crisis is spreading out over the social sphere. Thus the methods of a fight against it should be more effective and of higher quality. Member of Parliament, the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Deputy Head Anatoliy Kinakh holds such an opinion.
He noted that the wage arrears have recently increased by 23% and exceeded 1 billion hryvnias, the real wages have shrank by 1.7% in October. The practice of short week, shift to a less paid job and also redundancy has become more common. Unfortunately, derangement of pension payments occurs.
“Certainly the people should not be intimidated with future difficulties but social aftereffects require far more rapid and effective actions. It is necessary to pass alterations to the 2008 budget, put a process of drawing up and adopting the next year’s budget into the legislative framework, immediately adjust the monetary policy, approve a package of anti-crisis laws, prevent the threats of decline in the people’s purchasing ability and falling of the living standard”, Anatoliy Kinakh is convinced.
“When the matter concerns the people’s current and future life, the cost of issue is very high. Traditional populism will not do here. Consolidated systematic work is required. The authorities should combine their efforts to take effective anti-crisis actions, avoid worsening of the situation in the social sphere, prevent public shocks”, MP stated.
